Ranveer Singh is all set to explore a completely new genre with his upcoming film Pralay. After the massive success of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, the actor is now moving into the world of zombie action with this ambitious thriller. The film has officially gone on floors in Mumbai.

Directed by Jai Mehta, son of acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta, Pralay marks an important milestone in his career. Jai previously directed Lootere and worked as a co-director on Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. With Pralay, he is making his feature-film directorial debut.

The film stars Malayalam actress Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead. Known for her work in the South Indian film industry, Kalyani is also making her Hindi film debut with Pralay. This makes the project particularly special for both the actress and director.

The film also marks Ranveer Singh’s debut as a producer. He is backing the project through his production banner Maa Kasam Films. The movie is being produced in collaboration with Ananya Birla’s Birla Studios and Hansal Mehta and Sahil Saigal’s True Story Films.
